Hi my name is Beth, I'm a small Hobby Breeder located in North Raleigh NC on almost 4 acres. We have been in Golden's for over 19 years and believe in the breed standard and hallmark of the breed, temperament. Our Golden's are raised in the home and loved by my family until they go home to their new families! Our dogs have OFA hip and elbow, eye, Heart and thyroid clearances. I'm very involved with the GRCA and I'm also one of the founders of Tarheel Golden Retriever Club here in NC because I believe education of this breed is very important! I'm also a PEC officer for the GRCA. I
'm also proud to say I sit on the board of Neuse River Golden Retriever Rescue. As always I would love for you to check out some of the great goldens on their webpage. I encourage you to stop there first to adopt a golden before buying from a breeder (even myself) because there are so many loving older goldens looking for their forever homes!
Now, back to the nuts and bolts
Golden Retrievers are not for everyone! They shed, have a fair amount of energy and love to have something in their mouths at all times! If you think you are ready to turn your heart Golden, give us a call! I will spend a lot of time with you to make sure you know what you are in for! BUT I must say, Once you go Gold its all you will ever have/ want!! Interested still?? Call us! All perspective new homes must contact me by phone I do not do internet inquires.
As stated above Honeylake believes in giving back and raises rescue litters for rescue groups now and again so check with us if you would like to rescue a pup (may not always be goldens)
I'm also a certified Canine First Aid Person and will be looking into teaching courses for clubs and rescues......
Grooming time here! Toby and Jager, my boys! Golden shed a lot less if you groom (brush) them every week.. A brand new, just born baby Golden! They stay this size for about a minute! BREEDER OATH We will, in everything that we do, be aware that we are caretakers of the future of the Golden Retriever. Each action we take, every decision we make, can and will affect the Golden Retriever as a breed, today and far into the future. We are aware that poor breeding decisions have caused the downfall of some popular breeds. As caretakers of the Golden Retriever, we will protect not only the dogs that are living today, but those that are not yet born. It is our responsibilty to see that Golden Retrievers will go on in future years to be all that the breed was intended to be.
